I Matter Naught

Inspiration hits with a flash, stories written on the go. A rumble of laughter and the tale is heard only in echoes. The wind blows me in a new direction. Whom shall I visit next?

I don't get you. I don't get me.

I should give up, as you can see.

Thanks for the friendship; thanks a lot.

I'm here, where ev'ry day's too hot.

Don't follow me! Don't hold me back.

My kindness changes to attack.

Please save yourself while you still may

And live to see a better day.

I matter naught. I matter least.

I'll stagnate here till I'm deceased.

It's coming any moment. Quick!

Get saner friends who aren't so thick!

The years before you might reveal

The depth of all you made me feel.

I believe you matter and I certainly recognize some of the sentiments here.

Thank you so much. I'm sorry you can identify with some parts, though.

No need to apologize! I'm not some kind of omni-person with universal experience lol. My language tends to be as literal and precise to avoid being misunderstood. Unfortunately it failed me this time. Oh well, the path continues and I am better for it.
