Sonnet; Life updates (2/3)
Inspiration hits with a flash, stories written on the go. A rumble of laughter and the tale is heard only in echoes. The wind blows me in a new direction. Whom shall I visit next?
My left leg's been through surgery--ah! Twice.
I'm walking nearly normally by now,
But that was taxing. Very. I'll allow,
My limp's a minor thing, one grain of rice
Within a heaping bowl.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Oh, I would splice
Those severed friendships back; it would be nice
To have friends in my life again; but how?
I made grave errors. I have learned, I vow,
But damage has been done; I pay my price.

I narrowly escaped online abuse,
Then found new friends who trust me. I've been blessed:
They know my faults and problems (I've confessed),
And still they care. Amazing. I have neared
The cliff, and stepped to safety. Friends, I lose
Great spans of time each day. And I have feared.
