Three Word Prompt: In a Landscape by Dali
I'll never know how you could build this gate:
This time and place and structure to explore
A valley that exists behind my pate
Uncanny in new ways I can't ignore.
I gaze at the horizon--distant, pale
I wonder at the 'hemoths on the coast
I tread with caution o'er the schist and shale
A single eye regards me and my past.
These fibers are arrayed to block my way
As gingerly I sway, pursuing you;
I hope I might secure a moment terse
To ask you once: What was I meant to do?
You answer with a glance, then look away;
Miasmas waft from you, a poisoned curse.
No prequels yet. Why not write one?
No sequels yet. Why not write one?
