Lips Turning Blue
You seem so happy with us
What we are
Where we stand
On this slippery icy slope
.
I don't know how to tell you
About my growing fear
That this is too good to be true
That this ethernet of safety
Won't hold our tangible weight
.
We can dive so deep
That I end up bemused
As to which way is the surface
And which sends me further into our abyss
.
I know you don't
Like spending too much time
There in the dark
Because the carbon dioxide
Gets to your head
.
And suddenly what's stopping us
From breathing in nice and slow
.
But what if I'm already suffocating
Above
And
Below
The waters
Prequels
