"She'll call." My girlfriend patted my shoulder comfortingly.

"No, she won't. She's stubborn like that; Taurus and all." I stared down at the blank screen of my cell phone.

"Well if she doesn't, forget her."

"Forget her!? She was the only person who didn't forget about me!"

"Then why hasn't she called you, huh?"

"Maybe something awful happened."

"No, she's just an ass. She's being passive aggressive and it's bull. Like Taurus. She'll come to her senses."

"Or she'll think I don't care."

My girlfriend sat up and narrowed her eyes, "Do you?"

"Of course I do!"

Her face then melted into a sweet smile. "You're so sweet to care for someone who refuses to call. Let's go out. Now. Let's go to your favorite bar, call your friends..."

I let out a deep sigh. It wasn't worth ruining my night. "Okay. I'm sure there's nothing to worry about."

"She's a big girl. She can face her issues."

I secretly texted my friend, You okay?

My heart dropped.

This piece really spoke to me. Especially the end part. I've answered more "You okay?"s with "No"s than I care to remember...
