Hearts' Mending (5)

Inspiration hits with a flash, stories written on the go. A rumble of laughter and the tale is heard only in echoes. The wind blows me in a new direction. Whom shall I visit next?

Amazed I'd been accepted. And before

A year had passed, as hasty as could be,

No one would miss me. Better grow new shoots

Within a newer garden, freshly plotted,

Than bottle up morosity and stew,

Regrets and longing poisoning each other.

Replanted, I still wished I could renew

Those bonds; you'd been my sister and my brother...

Escape is never final, for, I find,

One can't outrun one's feelings, heart, or mind.
