I have been HS Wift for the longest time now, through some of the darkest hours I have known, and it warms my heart to know that the light that led me through lives on still.
May it never die.
Now ain't that a curious sight.
Therin watched the fire from the alley. His eyes used to heavy darkness, he easily spotted the young half-elf, soot barely visible againt his dusky grey skin. Pulling his collar about his face, he pursued the boy.
An odd turn o' events, he thought, that this boy should retreat down my alley...
Up ahead, the kid turned left, down an inviting well-lit road.
Stupid kid, that ain't where ye oughta be goin'.
Keeping to the shadows, Therin followed the half-drow down the road, and noticed that he wasn't the only tail this kid had picked up. Less concerned about stealth, a trio of rogues emerged from a non-decript doorway and followed the boy. Further down the road, another pair of miscreants in matching colours started walking in the opposite direction, towards their counterparts.
Moradin's beard, this is gonna get ugly, Therin sighed, Why'd I gotta go and grow a conscience all of a sudden?
Eyeing up the human slavers, Therin prepared to make his move.

This one was gonna be called Shadow, but I'm 90% certain I wanna save that for what will almost certainly be a much cooler story later.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who occasionally wonders if they've "wasted" a title.
