Three Word Challenge: Oven, Sturdy, Collapse (1/2)

Inspiration hits with a flash, stories written on the go. A rumble of laughter and the tale is heard only in echoes. The wind blows me in a new direction. Whom shall I visit next?

Story is marked as mature.

The soft corridor is hot as an oven. It shines with a cloying warmth, but little is visible within.

You are there, I know, but I do not know if voyaging inside, undercover, is a decision that I will be able to live with, or not.

I know that for the moment, the invitation within is sturdy and that there is no turning back, either way, either way I decide.

I decide.

Getting down on all fours and lifting the overhanging cover to the entrance, the smell gets stronger and my head can feel the heat coming from both sides. Starting to sweat, I crawl. I feel the ceiling growing closer the farther in I proceed. The scent is becoming overwhelming. There is a dampness that starts my heart beating faster.
