The castle grounds

You sometimes lost your way, but when you make it to a place like this, arriving without knowing how and why you arrived, you know you're not lost anymore. The air has an inimitable quality to itself, seemingly contained with the light of a day beginning or ending.

You pass through the landscape in which you find yourself, may it be a bed of reeds or a field of dream flowers or an orchard of succulent monstrosities. The insects fill the air with their buzzing, but when you peer closer, you find they aren't insects at all. You slide past other travelers, as lost as yourself, but as at home.

"This is a strange place," said a man stroking his pointed beard as he perused a bramble of mutated venus flytraps. "I feel that it will always be under construction."

Yes, you agree silently. The castle holds much promise and you are determined to explore it all, despite knowing very much in a place like this, the map can never be the territory.

Ambiguous enough to be personal to all.

I love the word inimitable.

I like it a lot. It's nebulous, but identifiable nonetheless.

Whilst you're wandering in the grounds, do take the time to visit the Garden of Noir, but be sure to wear your mac, as the weather can get dark and brooding over there, and it rains often and the whiskey is seldom on the rocks.

If that gets a bit too much, the rainbow pixies will always make room for you around the fountain of eternal childhood, which is on the East side of the castle, just beyond the Teenage Angst terraces and the winter-blooming marzipan flowers.

Always remember, though, that if you get into trouble, you just need to throw yourself a line and the castle's Ray of Hope generator will home in on your position. We've not quite fixed the power supply for it yet, so it can be a bit temperamental. It should, at the very least, get you into the next story. There's a bug in the software at the moment, so it may well be a Ray of False Hope, but it's the best we can do for now.

Enjoy. All are welcome.

Thanks for the sequel, first of all.

Secondly, the grounds and gardens must have just such an air of mystery and yet calm and hope. That's why the castle can host so much magic.

Lovely addition, and a lovely welcome home. Thanks for that. I feel at home as much as I feel newly lost again.
