Featured story
Arms, legs, the usual.
I also seem to be running the site.
I may get around to writing some actual stories at some point.
I'm thinking that the featured-story code is locked up. I'll have a closer look when I get the chance.

Looks like it was being caused by spambots registering accounts, not confirming their e-mail address, then loading all the links off the front page, which was keeping the already-featured story just active enough to beat out all contenders.
I've deleted all the accounts that hadn't confirmed e-mail addresses, and I have changed the underlying code such that page views from unconfirmed accounts do not count towards the story's "activity" score.
That should fix it.
